August 5, 2016 – The Cameroonian experience continues. It’s hard to keep up with the adventures along the way. Thanks to Tom Bang, iN2L CEO, for letting this journey happen and to Michael Gardner, our director of technology, for non stop driving during the whole adventure. He’s an animal.
Yesterday morning started with a cattle drive in Fort Worth. The cattle in Cameroon are not the Longhorns that you see here. Along the way Francis picked up a hat and a toy gun. He’s clearly adapting to the western culture. However, his attempt riding a mechanical bull did not end well. He fared better on a small kiddie ride.
We had a stop at a Dairy Queen for the biggest ice cream dessert he’s ever enjoyed and a trip to a Walmart, the largest retail store he’s ever seen. After a fine lunch at the Goat Rodeo in Texas, Gardner blasted through New Mexico all through the night.
We’re entrenched in the heart of Arizona as I write this. The last picture comes compliments of The Eagles, “I was standing on the corner of Winslow, Arizona.” Our next stop is the Grand Canyon. We should get to Vegas by midnight.
